As a member of the Unitarian Universalist Board of 2007 I covenant:
- Attend board meetings; let president know if you have to miss
- Start and end on time
- Listen well and be courteous of others
- Be brief and concise
- Humor
- Respect for what others say
- Support board decisions in action and publicly
- Speak only for oneself; “I” statements
- Turn in written reports from committees
- Read reports before each board meeting
- Keep a notebook or file of committee work and minutes
- Empower the president to bring us back to covenant
