Fall UU Classes
09/12 (Sunday) The History of Unitarian Universalism by Jim Key Jim will trace Unitarian Universalist history from the early centuries of Christianity when doubters challenged the existence of heaven and hell, the doctrine of the Trinity, and the notion of original sin. He will identify the Unitarians and Universalists of the Enlightenment who influenced the founding precepts of this country, and then move to the Transcendentalists who broadened our liberal and liberating faith beyond Christianity. Finally, Jim will review more recent history of Unitarianism and Universalism in Beaufort from 1862 to the present.
